Court Lilly, Principal
Court Lilly is an experienced and dedicated educational leader who has recently been appointed as the Principal of New Richmond Preparatory Academy, serving students from early kindergarten through 5th grade. With over 20 years of experience in school administration, instructional leadership, and continuous improvement, Court brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.
Throughout his career, Court has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, strategic planning, and community engagement. He has a proven track record of leading curriculum reviews, alignment projects, and new academic program implementations at both the district and school levels. Court’s data-driven approach to continuous improvement has yielded impressive results, including earning the State’s first and only Excellent with Distinction rating in his previous school district.
As an instructional leader, Court is passionate about designing and facilitating customized professional development opportunities for teachers, focusing on rigorous, standards-based instruction and assessments. He is skilled in analyzing student achievement data to identify needs, guide program improvements, and track progress.
In his most recent role as Principal of New Richmond Middle School, Court provided leadership for over 550 students and 60 staff members. He led the development of standards-aligned curriculum maps, instituted research-based instructional strategies, and implemented a 1:1 technology program.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Court is a dedicated family man. He and his wife, who is also an educator, share a core value of prioritizing education. He has two children: a 16-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter. Court’s commitment to family and education extends to his leadership style, as he strives to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students.
As Court transitions into his new role at New Richmond Preparatory Academy, he brings a wealth of experience, a passion for student success, and a dedication to building strong relationships with students, staff, and the community.
